NMI Constitution Day

Constitution Day is commemorated annually on December 8th. This day signifies the political identity and progress of the Commonwealth since forming a political union with the United States. It’s also a day to honor the Catholic tradition of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, celebrated by the island’s Catholic community. Constitution Day marks the time when 39 local leaders gathered to affirm the community’s right to self-determination.

The Commonwealth’s Constitution remains the fundamental guiding light as we continue to tackle challenges and work towards prosperity. It’s a day of reflection, celebration, and vigilance.
